The Malosa Complete Sub-Tenons Pack 2 is a sterile, single-use procedure pack assembled for sub-Tenon's anaesthesia. Everything needed for the block arrives in one sterile tray, ready to open onto the trolley.
What it's used for
Sub-Tenon's block is a widely used technique for delivering local anaesthetic for ophthalmic surgery, most commonly cataract surgery, using a blunt cannula through a small conjunctival incision rather than a sharp needle behind the globe.
Why a pack rather than loose instruments
A pre-assembled single-use pack removes instrument reprocessing from the turnaround, gives every case the same set in the same layout, and takes the sterile services load off short theatre lists. Instruments are single use, so there is no wear, no re-sharpening cycle and no tracking of reprocessing counts.
