dryCLO Rapid Urease test is used for the qualitative detection of the urease enzyme in gastric mucosal biopsy specimens for the presumptive determination of Helicobacter pylori (H. pylori) in symptomatic patients.
dryCLO Rapid Urease test is intended to be used by trained healthcare professionals, typically gastroenterologists or other healthcare professionals performing endoscopies, to diagnose H.pylori infection in the stomach lining. H. pylori infections are associated with various gastrointestinal issues like gastritis, ulcers, and potentially stomach cancer.
dryCLO:
• Can be stored at room temperature (below 30 degrees C);
• Produces rapid results – positive in around 5 minutes; negative results within 1 hour;
• Is accurate – 99% sensitivity and 97% specificity (as shown in major US studies);
• Is a ‘dry test’ so there’s no incubation or reagents required; and
• Has good stability with a 3-year shelf life.
