MYDRIACYL™ (tropicamide ophthalmic solution, USP) is an anticholinergic prepared as a sterile topical ophthalmic solution.
Mydriacyl is used alone or in combination with other eye drops/medicines to enlarge (dilate) the pupil and to prevent the eye from focusing. Your doctor may use Mydriacyl prior to either a surgical procedure or examination of the eye.
Each mL of MYDRIACYL™ (tropicamide ophthalmic solution, USP) contains:
- Active: tropicamide 0.5%.
- Preservative: benzalkonium chloride 0.01%.
- Inactives: sodium chloride, edetate disodium, hydrochloric acid and/or sodium hydroxide (to adjust pH), purified water. pH range 4.0 - 5.8.
