The Chalazion Clamp is similar to a pair of forceps. One extension has a flat, solid, round plate, the other, a ring-like structure that is used to clamp and retract soft tissues. It is applied to the everted lower lid. The clamp is tightened and used to evert and expose the conjunctival aspect of the eyelid. The clamp aid controls bleeding during the procedure and helps in fair localisation of the lesion.
