The Chalazion Clamp is similar to a pair of forceps. One extension has a flat, solid, round plate, the other, a ring-like structure that is used to clamp and retract soft tissues. It is applied to the everted lower lid & is tightened and used to evert and expose the conjunctival aspect of the eyelid. The clamp aid controls bleeding during the procedure and helps in fair localization of the lesion.
